This was very apparent from my very first encounter with the dynamic duo: Tina captivated the room with her highly entertaining stories and larger than life persona and Kelly, the shyer of the two, always managed to make quite the statement, albeit with very few but carefully selected words. Together, through the BagSnob platform, they have created an empire that appeals to both 16 year olds and 60 year olds alike. They have mastered the art of talking about the most expensive fashion items on the planet without ever seeming remotely obnoxious. Their trick? They make fashion fun and although they may have closets that are nothing but drool-worthy, they never take it too seriously. This is by far their biggest strength and the reason they have legions of die hard fans. Fans, that follow them so religiously that a mere tweet from Tina Craig back in 2011 caused a spike on the DL1961 website. So much so that that spike led to collaborating on our most gorgeous collection to date and a long lasting business relationship and friendship.

Beginning June 1st and running throughout the summer, we will highlight a progressive New Yorker making great things happen in their field. At the end of August, once all nominees have been revealed, fans can then vote for their favorite denim movement member on our website.
