Adam Tichauer is a sparkplug, a firestarter and one hell of a dedicated, passionate business ninja. Among his best friends, he is known as The Pro because of his unwavering confidence, loyalty, and uncanny ability to harness his passion into productivity. You can trace his stamina and dedication to his demanding days as a professional hockey player. He has a dominating presence because of his size, but he exudes warmth and charm and has a habit of being the kindest person in the room.

He operates under the mantra, “your friends are the family you choose,” and that has driven his involvement in his best friend’s charity, Pencils of Promise. Adam has traveled the world with his friends to find adventure and inspiration in each other, and he has channeled the excitement and energy of those trips to take a new approach to his ventures in for-profit and non-profit organizations.

Adam Tichauer is the CEO of Playbutton LLC a NY based technology company that designs and distributes customizable mp3 players in wearable buttons. In his free time he volunteers as the President of the Pencils of Promise NY Leadership Council. Dan Teicher is a composer for film and television and the producer/guitarist for New York based band The Ludlow Thieves.

We identified a select group of distinguished New Yorkers with a unique sense of style to represent DL1961's Denim Movement. Each of the following participants is a personification of the DL1961 brand: a pioneer in their respective profession with notable achievements in his/her undeniably demanding industry. Beginning June 1st and running throughout the summer, we will highlight a progressive New Yorker making great things happen in their field. At the end of August, once all nominees have been revealed, fans can then vote for their favorite denim movement member on our website.
